Challenge №1. The "wrong" number
This week finished for me whith the beginning of the challenges. And my first challenge was to call a random number and say "I'm sorry, I seem to have dialled the wrong number".
Before calling a stranger, I felt exciting, my pulse became faster and I wanted to stop doing it. But I overpowered these thoughts and called. While dialling, I rehearsed the dialogue in my head. When the stranger answered, he turned out to be a young man. I said: Hello, mom! How are you? Firstly, he didn't catch what I said, so I had to say it one more time. And then when I should have understood that I had dialled the wrong number, I said: I'm sorry, I seem to have dialled the wrong number". The stranger answered: "Oh, OK". And we hung up our recievers.
The first thing I felt during this challenge is great relief as my stranger didn't react in an agressive way. And this made me understand that people forgive such small mistakes of each other because we are all humans and thing do happen.

Congrats on your first challenge! You described it so vivid that I could easily imagine how it was and whet you felt.
ОтветитьУдалитьI think this challenge may show you that we often expect a negative reaction from people but in most of the cases their reaction is neutral or even positive.
That's the conclusion I meant but couldn't express.
