10 weeks to challenge myself
Stage fright... It sounds scaring, doesn't it? Many people, including me, have this fear. We are afraid of what people around us think of us, we are afraid of being fools. We are so scared that sometimes, though well prepared, we fail our performances just because of anxiety. Personally, I had many speeches that could be quite good if I hadn't been so nervous.
But being confident may be trained. And some social challenges will help it. So further you can see 10 challenges to me to feel more comfortable in communication with the unfamiliar people. I will do task a week and describe the results in this blog.
2. Telephone an organization and ask for some information.
3. Initiate a one-on-one conversation with your professor about something inconsequential.
4. Ask a person in the street for a mobile phone or some money.
5. Start a conversation with a neighbour or a student from a parallel group whom you don't know.
6. Reach a destination by asking people in the street about the route.
7. Go to a social event with a friend and initiate a conversation with one person you don`t know.
8. Go to an expensive shop and try on some things or scan the items for a while. Refuse any help from the shop assistants and leave the shop without buying anything.
9. To make a compliment to an unfamiliar person.
10. To tell a story in a group of people which is new for me.
I feel exciting but it's really interesting how I'll manage.
So, please, wish me good luck and let's start!
