5 steps

Writing persuasive speech is a kind of research work. And every research starts with plan. Actually, every serious business starts with plan. And I've made the research plan consisting of 5 steps for my speech.

1st step. To find problems of parenthood in such books as A Book for Parents by A.Makarenko.

2nd step. To ask relatives, friends, groupmates about their parents and childhood.

3d step. To watch a news report or to read a newspaper article connected with the problem.

4th step. To use a creative thinking method to get some new ideas.

5th step. To make a list of possible problems parents can face and descride the ways of preventing and solving them.

Challenge №2. Telephone an organization

Nowadays we can do many things with the help of the Internet avoiding personal communication with people. We ca order food, buy clothes, book tickets. But sometimes we have to talk to a worker of an organization to ask for some information. And my challenge of this week was connected with this activity.  On Tuesday I called to a hospital to make an appointment for my granny. That hospital was private. I couldn't get throgh for a long time. And then they recalled me. I made an appointment. Maybe, this action was not quite similar with one I nad planned to do but the main idea is the same, I think.  The main fear was that the stuff of the organization might be impolite with me or I might get lost. This fear may be the result of the old tradition. We get used that the ladies engaged in services are not always polite with clients. But this hospital turned out to be very good from this point of view that made me glad.

Clarifying the Purpose

I can't stand doing something poinless when I don't see or can't understand the purpose, the main idea of my business. I think (or I hope) that many people share this opinion. Time is priceless and we should concsiously choose what is worth our time. So when prepare your speech, you should (or even must) think about the purpose of your speech and get a clear idea of what you want to say. And then, when you come to the stage, you must show that your speech is worth listening to it. Otherwise, noone will care. So the first task of this week is to learn how to clarify the purpose of your speech. There are some questions to help us in this. Before writing a speach, a good orator should ask himself: - Why should I want to talk about this? - Why should anybody want to listen to me? - What single message would I want to put across? - What need in the audience do I want to have satisfied when I have finished speaking? - When they all walk away what state would I li...

I have so many situations when I sit down to write a speech but I don't have any idea how to start, what examples to bring and how to make it creative and interesting to listen. Fortunately, there are some methods to overcome the crisis. In this post I will try them starting with the warm-up. Warm-ups One letter The main idea of this warm-up is to choose a letter and then name at least 10 words staring with this letter. I take the letter "l" and the words are: life, line, landscape, league, leapfrog, lemon, level, look, love, lost . Random words At the website https://www.textfixer.com/tools/random-words.php I need to generate 5 words to write a paragraph using them. Yesterday I got a strange, mystical letter from an anonym. This anonym made me an appointment on  my balcony to tell me the shocking truth . So today after turning back from my work, I'm a diplomatic agent by the way, I hope to find out who this anonym is or who makes this kind...
